Digital Finance Transformation Consultant

Overview

In this role you help clients redesign finance processes, structures and the supporting technology across multiple platforms. You will run design and discovery workshops, define business requirements, and shape target operating models within a finance-technology context. You’ll bring breadth across ERP platforms and AI-enabled ways of working, working directly with finance teams to enable confident, compliant outcomes. This position offers advisory impact, platform-agnostic judgment, and close collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive CFO-focused outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and discovery workshops with client finance and tech teams
• gather and structure business requirements and clearly define problems
• design finance processes and fit-to-standard / fit-gap analyses
• develop enterprise structure and chart of accounts concepts and options
• participate in technology selection, vendor assessment and ROI justification
• contribute to AI-enabled finance process design and delivery approaches
• manage day-to-day client relationships within scope and timeline
• support target operating model design for post-platform implementation
• apply design-thinking and agile delivery methods in a collaborative setting
• maintain up-to-date knowledge of AI impacts on finance processes

Key requirements

• Experience across more than one ERP or finance platform
• Ability to run workshops and discovery sessions with client finance teams
• Involvement in technology selection or vendor assessment on live transformations
• Understanding of enterprise structure and chart-of-accounts design
• Hands-on exposure to AI or agentic tooling in finance or delivery context
• Fluency in design-thinking and agile delivery methods
• Ability to explain technical concepts to mixed audiences
• Professional finance or accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
