Job Description Disclosure Officer Annual Salary: £22.42 PAYE / £29.11 Umbrella per hour Location: Sutton, SM1 Job Type: Full-time, Hybrid (1-year contract) As a Disclosure Officer, you will play a crucial role in managing and reviewing vast volumes of evidential material, ensuring compliance with legal standards and supporting fair criminal proceedings. Day-to-day of
the role
Review, assess, and manage all evidential and unused material in accordance with the Criminal Procedure and Investigations Act (CPIA) requirements. Prepare accurate and comprehensive disclosure schedules. Identify material that may undermine the prosecution case or assist the defence.
Ensure correct handling, retention, and management of third-party material. Accurately describe material and assess sensitivity levels. Liaise closely with the Senior Investigating Officer (SIO), Crown Prosecution Service (CPS), counsel, and legal representatives.
Present evidence and/or support disclosure processes during court proceedings where required. Maintain strict confidentiality and data integrity standards at all times. Uphold the highest standards of quality assurance, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail. Required Skills &
Qualifications
Proven experience in disclosure within complex criminal investigations. Strong knowledge of CPIA and Police and Criminal Evidence Act (PACE) requirements. Demonstrable attention to detail and commitment to evidential integrity.
Investigative mindset with analytical capability. Proficiency in MS Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
Desirable
Experience of E-discovery & HOLMES. Additional

Ability to work under pressure within a high-profile and sensitive investigation. Strong organisational skills to manage large volumes of material. Commitment to maintaining public confidence in the criminal justice system.
