Domestic Gas Engineer

A broken boiler in a family home isn't a minor inconvenience; it's a cold house and a worried tenant. You'll be the Gas Engineer in Chesterfield who turns up, finds the fault and gets things running again safely. We're recruiting on behalf of a local authority housing services team, looking for a Gas Engineer to join their property services team in Chesterfield, Derbyshire.

You'll work across tenanted and void social housing properties on a temporary contract until April 2027, with the opportunity of a permanent role for the right person. THE ROLE Working in tenanted and void social housing properties across the area Carrying out servicing, repairs and fault diagnosis on domestic gas appliances Completing safety checks and keeping accurate compliance records Logging jobs and paperwork on a handheld device Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard WHO WE'D LOVE TO HEAR FROM Gas Safe registered Full domestic ACS A full UK driving licence Solid experience servicing and repairing domestic gas appliances Friendly and professional with tenants, including in challenging situations WHAT'S ON OFFER £28 per hour via Umbrella Temporary contract until April 2027 Use of a company van Option for overtime and out-of-hours work Opportunity for a permanent role If you're a Gas Engineer looking for steady social housing work with a route to something permanent, send me your up-to-date CV and I'll give you a call for a confidential chat about the position.
