Door Engineer

Overview

In this role you install, service and maintain roller shutters and industrial doors across commercial and institutional sites. You work from the Romford area with a mix of office-supported scheduling and fieldwork, handling installations, fault finding and repairs. You will operate in a dynamic environment servicing a range of door systems for diverse clients, contributing to safety, reliability and access control. Responsibilities

• Install, fault find, repair and maintain roller shutters and industrial/door systems
• Carry out field service tasks from Romford/remote locations and be scheduled by central offices
• Work with various door types, including manual and automatic doors and access control systems
• Ensure compliance with security and safety requirements (CRB check, CSCS card)
• Collaborate with clients to complete service projects and maintain equipment

Key requirements

• Field service experience in the roller shutter/industrial door industry
• Experience with automatic doors and door entry systems (advantageous)
• Proficient mechanical and electrical skills
• CRB check (security clearance)
• CSCS Card
• valid UK driving license
• Mechanical engineering and electrical skills

• Knowledge of various industrial door types
