Drainage Operative – Gully Maintenance Location: London, SE1 Salary: £15.00 – £17.14 per hour, depending on experience Hours: Day Shift, 6am – 4pm Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent Looking for a hands-on role with regular daytime hours and the opportunity to secure permanent employment?

Vector Recruitment Solutions are recruiting Drainage Operatives on behalf of a leading infrastructure contractor working in the SE1 area of London. This is a practical, physically active role undertaking essential gully cleaning and drainage maintenance, helping to keep roadside drainage systems clear and functioning effectively.

We're looking for reliable, hardworking individuals who enjoy working outdoors and are comfortable carrying out hands-on maintenance work. The Role

Your responsibilities will include

Carrying out routine gully cleaning and maintenance across the local highways network. Assisting with the clearance of blocked roadside drains and gullies. Supporting the operation of specialist drainage vehicles and equipment.

Removing silt, debris and other obstructions from drainage systems. Working as part of a team to complete scheduled drainage maintenance. Following health and safety procedures to ensure work is carried out safely and efficiently.

What We're Looking For Candidates must hold a CSCS Card or a High Pressure Water Jetting Qualification. A reliable, practical approach and strong work ethic. Willingness to undertake physically demanding outdoor work. Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Good awareness of workplace health and safety. Previous experience in drainage, highways maintenance, groundworks or similar practical work would be advantageous. What's on Offer? £15.00 – £17.14 per hour, depending on experience.

Day shifts, 6am – 4pm. Temporary to permanent opportunity with long-term employment prospects. Varied, hands-on work within the drainage and highways maintenance sector. Opportunity to develop experience working with specialist drainage equipment.
