DT Technician – Mixed Secondary School, Sutton Location: Sutton Contract: Full-time, Permanent Salary: Competitive Start Date: January 2026 A forward-thinking co-educational secondary school in Sutton is looking to appoint an organised and proactive Design & Technology Technician to support their thriving DT Department.
Role Overview The successful candidate will work closely with teachers to ensure workshops and classrooms are fully prepared, safe, and well-resourced. You will support practical lessons, maintain equipment, manage materials, and help create a safe learning environment for students.
Key Responsibilities Preparing materials, machinery, and tools for lessons Assisting students during practical sessions Carrying out routine maintenance and ensuring machinery meets safety standards Managing stock levels and ordering supplies Requirements Experience in a workshop, DT environment, or similar Strong understanding of health & safety procedures Practical, hands-on mindset with good organisational skills Application: If you are interested, please send your CV as soon as possible.
