Position: Economics Teacher Location: Liverpool Contract: Full-Time Start Date: September Key Stages: KS4–KS5 Economics Teaching Role in an Independent School An independent school in Liverpool is seeking to appoint an Economics Teacher to join its department from September.
This is a full-time role within a well-established school that values academic excellence, analytical thinking, and high-quality teaching. Economics is a highly regarded subject within the school, with students encouraged to develop strong analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving skills while gaining an understanding of microeconomics, macroeconomics, and real-world economic issues.
About the Role You will teach Economics across Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5, delivering engaging and well-structured lessons that develop students’ understanding of key economic principles and contemporary economic issues.
Students will study topics including market structures, inflation, unemployment, government policy, globalisation, and economic development while developing strong quantitative, analytical, and essay-writing skills. You will prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Economics examinations, supporting them in building confidence with data interpretation, case study analysis, evaluation, and exam technique.
You will work collaboratively within a successful department while benefiting from smaller class sizes and strong pastoral support.
