Job Description Effluent Plant Operator - 4 Month ContractAre you an experienced Effluent Plant Operator looking for a new opportunity within a busy FMCG manufacturing company based in Derby? You will have previous experience operating an effluent/wastewater treatment plant within a manufacturing environment.

As an Effluent Plant Operator, you will play a key part in ensuring the site's effluent treatment process operates safely, efficiently and within environmental regulations. This is a 4-month contract working Monday to Friday on days.

As an Effluent Plant Operator your role will involve: Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the site effluent treatment plantMonitor and control the treatment process to ensure it operates within required parametersCarry out routine checks, inspections, sampling and testing of the effluent plantMonitor chemical dosing and ensure chemicals are maintained at the required levelsIdentify, investigate and report any issues with the treatment processCarry out basic maintenance, cleaning and housekeeping of the effluent plant and associated equipmentRespond to alarms, breakdowns and process issues in a timely mannerMaintain accurate records of plant readings, sampling, chemical usage and maintenance activitiesEnsure the site remains compliant with environmental legislation and internal proceduresWork closely with the Engineering, Production and Environmental teams to resolve issues and maintain efficient plant operationEnsure all health, safety, environmental and company procedures are followed at all timesSupport continuous improvement initiatives to improve the efficiency and reliability of the effluent treatment processHours of work: Monday to Friday - DaysContract:4-month contractLocation: DerbySuitable Candidates: Previous experience operating an effluent, wastewater or sewage treatment plantExperience working within an FMCG, food manufacturing or industrial environmentGood understanding of effluent treatment processes and environmental requirementsComfortable carrying out routine testing, monitoring and samplingStrong understanding of health, safety and environmental regulationsGood problem-solving skills and a practical approachFlexible, team-oriented and able to work effectively within a busy manufacturing environmentIf you are interested in the above role, APPLY NOW via the job board.
