EH&S Coordinator

Overview

In this role you support the EHS Manager to uphold health, safety and environmental performance at the Coventry site. You’ll drive a positive safety culture, help the site hit HSE targets, and assist with ISO standards. You will lead investigations, risk assessments, and safety audits, while delivering training and engaging staff in safety initiatives. This is a hands-on, cross-functional role that impacts site risk management and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Deputise for the EHS Manager and advise managers on health, safety, and environmental matters
• Promote a positive safety culture and help achieve site HSE targets, including zero lost time accidents
• Lead accident, incident, and near-miss investigations and ensure timely corrective actions
• Develop, maintain, and review risk assessments, COSHH assessments, and safe systems of work
• Coordinate safety inspections, audits, and daily workplace walkthroughs to drive continuous improvement
• Maintain ISO 14001 compliance and support ISO 45001 certification activities including internal audits
• Deliver HSE training and engage employees in safety walks, risk assessments, and improvement initiatives
• Manage contractor and visitor safety processes including permit-to-work, contractor documentation, and machinery safety requirements

Key requirements

• Experience in an EHS role within manufacturing, logistics, or transport
• NEBOSH Certificate, Health and Safety qualification, or equivalent
• IOSH Managing Safely qualification
• Experience conducting risk assessments, accident investigations, audits, and regulatory compliance activities
• Strong communication, organizational, and training delivery skills; ability to work independently and collaborate across all levels
