Electrical Commissioning Engineer - Hybrid Full-time Type of contract ASSYSTEM: Permanent ASSYSTEM Sector: Nuclear Today, Assystem is among the top three independent nuclear engineering firms worldwide. Assystem mobilizes 8,000 experts in 13 countries and intervenes across the entire project lifecycle, in engineering, project management and digital solutions. You will support commissioning activities across critical electrical systems on a major nuclear project.

The role combines testing, verification and operational readiness activities within a highly regulated environment. Execute commissioning activities across LV electrical distribution and power systems Commission transformers, switchboards, UPS systems and large battery installations Apply nuclear, electrical and industrial safety requirements during commissioning activities Manage commissioning documentation, configuration control and technical records accurately Analyse test results and resolve technical deviations with stakeholders Support commissioning hold points and nuclear safety compliance requirements Coordinate activities with mechanical, process and I&C commissioning teams Conduct system walkdowns, punch-list closure and readiness verification activities Capture operational experience feedback to support continuous programme improvement Support development of junior engineers and commissioning technicians onsite Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline Strong commissioning experience within highly regulated industrial environments Knowledge of LV electrical systems, testing, installation and maintenance Understanding of electrical isolation, switching procedures and safety rules Knowledge of Electricity at Work Regulations and BS 7671 standards Experience working within large-scale infrastructure or construction projects Ability to work confidently within dynamic and high-security environments Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across multidisciplinary teams Strong problem-solving abilities with proactive and collaborative working approach IOSH accreditation and Behavioural Safety Programme certification advantageous What we offer Hybrid Working – Flexibility to work from home and the office 25 Days Annual Leave + Bank Holidays Buy & Sell Holiday – Make your time off work for you 8% Company Pension Contributions Income Protection & 3x Salary Death-in-Service Cover Competitive Sick Pay – Support when you need it Healthcare Cash Plan – Claim back on dental, optical & more Free Digital Gym Access – Expert-led fitness classes Exclusive Discounts – Restaurants, days out & top brands 24/7 Employee Support Line – Mental health, financial & legal help Cycle to Work Scheme – Save money & go green Free Flu Jabs & Eye Test Vouchers Paid Professional Membership Fees Volunteer Days – Make a difference on company time Join Assystem and contribute to delivering sustainable and innovative engineering solutions for the Hinkley Point C project.
