About therole We're looking for anexperienced Electrical Controls & Automation Engineer to joinour Ashby site.

This is a hands-on role for someone with a strongelectrical, controls and instrumentation background who enjoyssolving complex engineering problems and improving equipmentreliability. As a key technical specialist, you'llsupport the diagnosis and resolution of electrical, controls andautomation issues across the site, while helping to develop thecapability of our wider Engineering team.

You'll work closely withEngineering, Manufacturing and Technical colleagues to improveequipment performance, deliver automation projects and ensure oursystems remain safe, reliable and fit for thefuture. This role would suit someone who iscomfortable using PLC software, electrical schematics and controlsystem diagnostics to identify root causes and drive lastingimprovements within a fast-paced manufacturingenvironment.

Providespecialist EC&I support by leading the diagnosisand resolution of complex electrical, controls, instrumentation andautomation issues across thesite Leadautomation fault finding using PLC software,electrical schematics and control system diagnostics to identifyroot causes and prevent repeatfailures Improveequipment reliability by identifying opportunitiesto enhance performance, maintainability and automation standardsacross manufacturingoperations Deliverautomation projects from concept through tocommissioning, working closely with colleagues, suppliers, OEMs andcontractors Developengineering capability through coaching andtechnical support, helping engineers build their electrical, PLCand automation fault-findingskills We'd love to hear fromyou if you canbring: Electricalengineering expertise through an NVQ Level 3,Advanced Apprenticeship or equivalent qualification, alongsidestrong practical experience in an electrical, controls orautomationrole Strongfault-finding capability with proven experiencediagnosing electrical, controls, instrumentation and automationissues within a manufacturing or industrialenvironment PLCand automation knowledge including Siemens PLCs,with experience using PLC software as a diagnostic tool and SiemensTIA Portal experience beingadvantageous Controlsand instrumentation experience including industrialcontrol systems, sensors, drives, HMIs, industrial networks andautomated manufacturingequipment Continuousimprovement and project experience with a trackrecord of delivering automation improvements, supporting equipmentreliability and coaching others to develop technicalcapability Ourpurpose At KP Snacks, we're passionateabout creating happy snacking moments throughour great tasting snacks and iconic brands.
