Job Description GC158: Electrical Engineer Location: Deeside, Flintshire. Salary: Hourly rate. IR35: In scope. Working Hours: 5 days a week onsite. Working hours start between 7am to 9am and finish between 3:30pm to 6pm.

A work pattern will be agreed onsite with the line manager. Contract Length: 6-months. Overview: The successful candidate's role will include the repair and overhaul of Electronic and Electro-mechanical equipment in a timely and efficient manner whilst complying with legislative and organisational standards.

The role will cover the following: Avionics systems. Communications Systems. Navigation Systems. Cable and Test Box manufacture. Job description: Role responsibilities include but are not limited to: Perform self-directed Test; Diagnostics; Repair; Maintenance; Modification; Calibration and Manufacture of Equipment down to module / individual Component level using approved Engineering Documentation and techniques.

Hold Self-Certification; Over-Signing; Certifying & Conditioning of Equipment Responsibilities (for example: Serviceable / Unserviceable / Scrap). Supervision; Training and Over-Signing of Junior / Equivalent grade Staff & Apprentices.

Carry out Feasibility and Development activity, including the Reverse Engineering and Creation of supporting engineering documentation / Test Procedures. Use a combination of different MOD IT software. Provide Specialist Advice as required. Work within a scheme of Engineering Governance and comply with all.

Person specification

We are seeking an enthusiastic, proactive, and well organised candidate who can manage numerous tasks/projects individually and as part of the wider team. The individual will be required to engage with various internal and external stakeholders/customers.

To be successful with your application, you'll need to show that you meet the following essential criteria: Holds relevant: Level 4 qualification and advanced/higher apprenticeship; or Level 3 qualification, a nationally recognised Electrical/Electronic engineering apprenticeship or Military equivalent. Practical engineering experience within their discipline or specialist area.
