This is an opportunity to join a thriving Edinburgh-based team where you'll play a key role in delivering some of Scotland's most exciting building projects while mentoring the next generation of engineers. Working within a collaborative environment, you'll be involved in projects from initial concept through to completion, giving you genuine influence across the entire design process.

With a strong pipeline of work across multiple sectors, this role offers the chance to lead projects, strengthen client relationships, and contribute to the continued growth of an established engineering team. The RoleAs a Senior Electrical Engineer, you'll take responsibility for the delivery of electrical building services designs across a diverse portfolio of projects.

You'll act as a key point of contact for clients, architects, contractors and wider design teams while supporting and developing junior engineers.

Your responsibilities will include

Leading electrical building services projects from concept through to completionDeveloping electrical design strategies and producing detailed design solutionsManaging project delivery, programme and quality standardsCoordinating and mentoring graduate, apprentice and assistant engineersAttending client and design team meetings as the electrical leadProducing calculations, specifications, reports and technical documentationSupporting project cost planning and commercial deliveryUndertaking site inspections, commissioning reviews and post-contract dutiesEnsuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest technical standardsWhat We're Looking ForDegree qualified in Electrical Engineering or Building Services EngineeringExperience delivering electrical building services projects within a consultancy environmentStrong understanding of UK building regulations and industry standardsPrevious experience leading projects and coordinating multidisciplinary teamsClient-facing experience with excellent communication skillsProficiency in industry software including Revit, Amtech/Trimble, Dialux and AutoCADAbility to manage multiple projects effectivelyIdeally working towards Chartered Engineer status or already charteredWhy Apply?
