The business works across a varied portfolio of commercial, retail, self-storage, hospitality, industrial and high-end residential projects, supported by experienced design, commercial and project delivery teams. Your new roleAs an Electrical Estimator, you’ll play a key role within the estimating team, taking electrical tenders from initial enquiry through to final submission and supporting the handover of successful projects.

Your responsibilities will include:Preparing detailed electrical estimates and tender submissionsReviewing drawings, specifications, schedules and tender documentationCarrying out take-offs and producing labour and material costsObtaining and comparing supplier and subcontractor quotationsUndertaking technical and commercial appraisals of quotationsIdentifying tender risks, exclusions, opportunities and commercial considerationsRaising RFIs and technical queries to clarify tender requirementsIdentifying value-engineering opportunitiesSupporting both pre-designed and Design & Build projectsAssessing buildability and determining when site visits are requiredPreparing tender qualifications, exclusions, clarifications and offer lettersWorking closely with design, commercial and project teamsTaking tenders from initial enquiry through to review, submission and project handoverWhat you'll need to succeedYou’ll ideally have previous experience in electrical estimating or tendering within an electrical contracting or M&E environment, with a good understanding of electrical installations, drawings and specifications.

You’ll be able to analyse tender information, produce accurate cost estimates and identify commercial risks and opportunities. Applications can also be considered from individuals who have developed their career through electrical installation, electrical design or junior estimating and have the technical knowledge required to progress further within estimating.
