Job Description Electrical Maintenance EngineerCovering 2 Site - Gateshead / Durham£40,000 - £45,000Days / Monday - Friday (Flexi Start & Finish Time)Overtime AvailableWe are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing business operating across two sites in the North East.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an electrically biased engineer who is looking to move into a permanent days-based position , while still having access to overtime at an enhanced rate. The successful engineer will work within a busy manufacturing environment, maintaining a range of automated production equipment and supporting the continued reliability and performance of the sites.
The RolePlanned and reactive electrical maintenanceElectrical fault finding and troubleshootingPLC fault finding, including Siemens and Schneider systemsPanel wiring and panel buildingFault finding on sensors, relays, drives, inverters and motorsMaintenance of automated production machineryWorking with palletising equipment and robotic systemsDiagnosing breakdowns and reducing production downtimeSupporting continuous improvement and machinery reliabilityWorking across two manufacturing sites within the North EastEnsuring all engineering work is completed safely and efficientlyThe CandidateThe successful Electrical Maintenance Engineer will ideally have: Minimum 5 years' engineering experienceStrong electrical maintenance backgroundPrevious experience within manufacturing or a similar industrial environmentNVQ Level 3 or equivalent electrical engineering qualificationHNC Electrical Engineering would be advantageousPLC fault-finding experienceExperience with motors, drives, inverters, sensors and relaysExperience working with automated machineryPanel wiring experienceStrong fault-finding and problem-solving skillsExperience with Siemens or Schneider PLCs, robotics, palletisers or highly automated production equipment would be particularly advantageous.
