With a strong reputation for quality and innovation, they are seeking a Shift Engineer to join their production team at a busy manufacturing facility in the Cheshire area.

Your new role As a Shift Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing production machinery to ensure efficient plant operations. Working closely with production teams, you will carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), respond to breakdowns, conduct equipment inspections and support continuous improvement activities.

You will play a key role in maintaining high standards of health and safety, housekeeping, and operational reliability within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. What you'll need to succeed To be successful in this role, you will ideally have experience within a manufacturing, industrial, or production environment and possess strong mechanical maintenance skills.

Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on production equipment. Diagnosing and resolving mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical faults. Working closely with production team leaders to minimise downtime. Completing equipment inspections and maintenance records.

Undertaking risk assessments before maintenance activities. Supporting safe working practices and maintaining a tidy work environment. You will also have: Previous experience in maintenance engineering or a similar role.

Good fault-finding and problem-solving abilities. Knowledge of production machinery and maintenance practices. Flexibility to work a rotating shift pattern (either 6.00–14.00 or 14.00–22.00)What you'll get in return A competitive salary package.22 days annual leave, increasing with service up to 27 days, plus bank holidays.
