Role: Electrical Maintenance Technician – Shift Location: Horsham, West Sussex Type: Permanent Shift: 4 on/ 4 off (2 days, 2 nights) Hours: 06:30 – 18:30 / 18:30 – 06:30 SRG are currently recruiting for an Electrical Maintenance Technician for a successful and growing client based in Horsham, West Sussex.
This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in maintaining and improving plant performance, ensuring operational efficiency and high engineering standards within a fast-paced industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and respond to breakdowns and reactive maintenance Diagnose and repair faults across electrical systems, including: Sensors, relays, and contactors AC/DC motors Control panels and MCCs PLC systems (Siemens S7 experience preferred) Support plant availability, reliability, and continuous improvement initiatives Perform electrical fault finding and interpret technical drawings Work with controls and instrumentation, including temperature, pressure, and flow systems Maintain high standards of health & safety, compliance, and housekeeping Ensure all incidents, accidents, and near misses are reported promptly Contribute to engineering improvements and project work Criteria: Qualified in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (HNC or equivalent) Strong experience in industrial, manufacturing, or automated environments Competent in fault finding, diagnostics, and maintenance Ideally familiar with: PLC fault finding (any platform considered) MCC panel layouts Control and instrumentation systems 18th Edition (BS7671) is advantageous If interested, please apply or contact Julia for more information: Julia.mccabe@srgtalent.com 0161 667 1803
