The business supports commercial, residential, healthcare, education, infrastructure and technically complex building-services schemes, with a clear focus on safe delivery, technical quality and long-term client relationships.
Due to continued growth and a strong project pipeline, they are seeking a Electrical / Mechanical Project Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will manage the successful delivery of electrical and mechanical work packages from pre-construction through installation, testing, commissioning and handover.
This position will work closely with project leadership, commercial, design, planning and supply-chain stakeholders, providing clear ownership of the role's key deliverables and helping the wider team achieve programme, quality, safety and financial objectives.
Key Responsibilities Manage electrical and mechanical project delivery from pre-construction and procurement through installation, commissioning and handover. Develop and maintain delivery programmes, short-term plans and procurement schedules.
Coordinate design information, technical submittals, RFIs and builder's-work requirements. Manage subcontractors, supervisors and direct labour, setting clear expectations for safety, quality and productivity. Monitor progress, cost, risk and change, escalating issues and agreeing recovery actions.
Lead client, consultant and subcontractor meetings and maintain clear action tracking. Ensure materials, plant and specialist resources are procured in line with programme requirements. Oversee testing, commissioning, snagging, O&M information and practical completion.
Work closely with commercial colleagues to support valuations, variations and financial performance. Candidate Profile Proven experience managing electrical and mechanical packages on construction or engineering projects.
Strong understanding of design coordination, procurement, installation, testing and commissioning. Confident leading subcontractors and communicating with clients, consultants and project teams. Relevant technical qualification or trade background, supported by strong site-delivery experience.
Requirements & Experience Good understanding of construction health and safety, quality assurance and project controls. Ability to work effectively with clients, consultants, subcontractors and multidisciplinary teams. Flexibility to travel to project locations as required.
