Electrical Supervisor

We are currently looking for an experienced Electrical Supervisor to join our team on a long-term commercial project in Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and experienced Electrical Supervisor looking for consistent, long-term work on a major commercial project, with the potential for ongoing opportunities and the chance to become part of an established site team.

The Role You will be responsible for supervising day-to-day electrical installation activities on site, coordinating electricians and subcontractors, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with project drawings, specifications and programme requirements.

Key Responsibilities Supervising daily electrical installation works on site. Managing and coordinating electricians and electrical subcontractors. Allocating daily tasks and monitoring workforce productivity. Ensuring electrical installations are completed in line with drawings and specifications.

Monitoring progress and reporting updates to the Electrical Site Manager. Carrying out regular quality inspections and ensuring high installation standards. Ensuring all operatives comply with health and safety procedures.

Coordinating electrical works with other trades and site teams. Identifying and resolving day-to-day site issues. Ensuring materials, tools and equipment are available when required. Attending site briefings and toolbox talks.

Supporting inspections, testing, commissioning and project handover. Requirements Minimum 3 years' experience as an Electrical Supervisor or in a similar supervisory position. Strong background in commercial electrical installations.

Proven experience supervising electricians and subcontractors. Relevant electrical qualifications, ideally NVQ Level 3 or equivalent. ECS Gold Card or relevant industry certification. SSSTS or SMSTS qualification. Good understanding of electrical drawings and installation specifications.

Strong knowledge of current electrical regulations and health and safety requirements. Experience working on large commercial projects, office fit-outs or refurbishment projects. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.

Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills. Ability to manage site activities and meet project deadlines. Must have the right to work in the UK.

Desirable

Experience working on CAT A/CAT B commercial fit-outs. Experience with containment, cable installation, distribution, lighting and small power. First Aid qualification. Interested?
