Job Description Electrical Test EngineerDroitwichPermanent Up to £36,000An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Electrical Test Engineer to join a market-leading manufacturing company based in Droitwich. This hands-on role offers the chance to work on complex electrical and control systems, playing a key part in ensuring high-quality equipment is thoroughly tested, commissioned, and ready for customer delivery.
Main Duties Electrical Test EngineerCarry out comprehensive testing and inspection of equipment within a manufacturing environmentConnect electrical, water, and mechanical systems to facilitate testing and commissioning activitiesPerform fault finding and diagnostics, including live PLC troubleshooting and problem resolutionUtilise a range of test equipment, including multimeters, oscilloscopes, and power analysersTest and work safely with high-voltage electrical systemsCollaborate closely with engineering and production teams to resolve technical issues and improve performanceComplete accurate testing documentation and quality recordsApprove and sign off equipment prior to customer dispatchThe ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following: Electrical Test EngineerHNC qualified (or equivalent) in Electrical EngineeringStrong knowledge of single and three-phase systems, along with high-power electrical circuitsPrevious experience working with live electrical equipmentA solid understanding of analogue and digital electronicsAbility to read, interpret, and work from engineering drawings and schematicsStrong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environmentA meticulous approach with a strong commitment to quality and safety standardsExcellent analytical and problem-solving abilitiesMechanically minded with a practical, hands-on approachFlexibility to undertake occasional international travel to meet the needs of the roleWhat we are able to offer: Electrical Test EngineerCompetitive pension and bonus schemeAdditional annual leave awarded for long serviceIf you are already an Industrial Electrical Test Engineer, Power Systems Test Engineer, Test & Commissioning Engineer, Commissioning Engineer, or Electrical Commissioning Technician, you may also be suitable for this role.
