Job Description Hampshire - Hooper Court, PortsmouthAbout The RoleWere looking for skilled, reliable Electricians who take pride in delivering high quality work and excellent customer service. As part of our Direct Services team, youll play a key role in keeping our homes safe, compliant and well maintained for our residents.
Youll be responsible for carrying out a wide range of electrical repairs, maintenance and testing across our properties, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard. Working within our Reactive Repairs team, youll manage your own workload day to day, using a right first time approach to deliver a responsive and reliable service.
Youll also keep residents informed throughout, ensuring a positive customer experience at every stage. This is a field based role, and you may be required to support across different locations where needed. Youll also take part in a 24 hour emergency call out rota on a fair and planned basis.
The position will require occasional out of hours work, which will add to your earnings. About youYoure a qualified Electrician with a strong work ethic and a focus on delivering great service. Youre confident working independently, but equally comfortable supporting colleagues and working as part of a team.
You will need: Relevant electrical qualifications (NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds equivalent)18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671)Inspection & Testing qualification (e.g. 2391) or willingness to work towardsExperience carrying out electrical repairs, maintenance and testing in a similar environmentStrong knowledge of health & safety and electrical compliance requirementsThe ability to diagnose faults and deliver a first time fix wherever possibleExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work professionally and sensitively with residents, including those who may be vulnerableA flexible, proactive approach and the ability to work both independently and as part of a teamWillingness to work evenings and/or weekends with reasonable notice and take part in a 24 hour emergency call out rotaYou must hold a full UK driving licence with no more than six points and with no serious motoring offences in the last 10 years (i.e., CD, DD, DG, DR, IN, MR, TT).
You must also have a minimum of two years driving experience. We will undertake driving licence checks on the successful candidate as part of our standard pre-employment checks process. About the teamYoull be part of our Direct Services Reactive Repairs team, delivering a comprehensive repairs and maintenance service to our residents, including emergency, routine and responsive works.
