Electronics Technician

Position: Electronics Technician Type: Permanent, Onsite Hours: 40hrs/wk, Flex Time Industry: Defence Location: Swindon Salary: £30,000 to £40,000 per annum + Bonus + Private Medical Profile – Electronics Technician Our client is a leading provider of equipment and service solutions to technically challenging sectors around the globe. Job Role – Electronics Technician Reporting to the Electronics Manager the Electronics Technician will be responsible for the manufacture, assembly and testing of PCBs, wiring harnesses and electro-mechanical systems, ensuring products meet the highest standards of quality, reliability and performance Duties – Electronics Technician

Assemble, solder and test PCBs, wiring harnesses and electronic sub-assemblies.

Complete electro-mechanical assembly and box-build integration.

Load and configure software and firmware onto electronic systems.

Interpret engineering drawings, schematics and assembly instructions.

Use test equipment such as multi-meters, oscilloscopes and power supplies.

Carry out inspection, testing and fault-finding activities.

Diagnose production issues and support effective fault resolution.

• Create and maintain manufacturing documentation and work instructions. Experience/Qualifications – Electronics Technician
• Experience in electronics manufacturing assembly or test environments
• Read and interpret electronic schematics and engineering drawings
• Familiarity with electronic test equipment including oscilloscopes and multi-meters

Relevant qualification in Electronics, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline is desirable.
