Embedded Software Engineer

Our client is an international company and the global leader in their sector. With a strong track record of growth and innovation we are now seeking an additional Embedded Software Engineer. You will be working in a mixed skilled engineering design team developing software which is integrated into electronic instrumentation hardware.

Minimum of 5 years' working in Embedded Software, with strong C/C++ development skills and practical Linux experience Can demonstrate experience working with custom Linux distributions built using Yocto or Buildroot and/or vendor-supported distributions for platforms such as BeagleBoard and Raspberry Pi Familiarity with microcontrollers, microprocessors and digital signal processors Solid understanding of software development practice Working knowledge of software version control systems such as SVN and Git Ability to read and comprehend circuit schematics and electronic data sheets Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Additional Advantageous Experience A track record of taking an embedded Linux product through development to market would be highly desirable.
