Employment Solicitor/Barrister 3 years’ PQE/Call GUERNSEY

Well-regarded offshore law firm in Guernsey is looking to recruit an Employment Solicitor of 3 or more years’ PQE/Call. You will work alongside the Partners and Senior Counsel in the team advising on the full range of Employment law matters in Guernsey and Jersey, with a focus on:

• undertaking advocacy for interim and final hearings, including case management discussions, preliminary and full hearings in the local Employment & Discrimination Tribunals in Guernsey/Jersey
• advising employers generally on their rights/duties under Guernsey and Jersey law
• drafting and amending contractual documentation and policies
• business licensing, housing and immigration
• assisting corporate teams with due diligence and transaction support

drafting pleadings, witness statements, skeleton arguments and agreements. Proactively assist in developing and expanding client relationships important to the firm’s success, at the same time becoming a valued resource to clients.

This will mean being actively involved in the marketing and business development initiatives of the department. Applicants must be ambitious and commercially driven with experience in advocacy, including cross-examination and presenting cases at tribunal level.

Applicants will be a qualified Solicitor or Barrister in England & Wales or Guernsey or Jersey or Scotland.
