Youwillworkcollaborativelywithlocalemployers,healthprofessionals,trainingproviders,andcommunityorganisationstocreateinclusivepathwaysintowork.
Yourrolewillinvolveprovidingtailoredadvice,coaching,andadvocacytohelpindividualsovercomechallenges,navigatethejobmarket,andthriveintheworkplace. Thisroleiscentraltopromotingsocialinclusion,reducinginequalities,andimprovingwellbeingthroughemployment.

KEYRESULTAREASEmploymentSpecialist ToprovideaonetooneadvocacyandsupportedemploymentservicetoConnecttoWorkparticipantswhoareexperiencingsignificantbarrierstoemploymentwhichcaninclude: Homelessness,victimsofabuse,severementalhealthconditionsoradditionallearningneeds.
Tohaveindividualresponsibilityformentoringamonitoredcaseloadofparticipants,actingasanadvocateforeachindividualandbeinganintegralpartofamulti-disciplinaryteamtosupporttheindividualswiththeirgoalsbothpersonalandprofessional.
ToadheretothestrictfidelityandqualityassurancerequirementsoftheSupportedEmploymentQualityFramework(SEQF)modelofsupportedemployment,ensuringparticipantshaveastructuredandmonitoredpathwaywhilstonprogramme. EmploymentSpecialist Toworkwithkeystakeholders,servicedeliverypartners,statutoryandnon-statutoryorganisationstopromotethesupportavailabletothosehardesttoreach.
EmploymentSpecialist Toprovideflexiblesupporttotheprogrammeintheareaandworkoccasionalunsocialhours,providingapersonalisedparticipantledservicetomaximiseaccessibilitytoConnecttoWorkfortheidentifiedeligibleindividuals. Toprovideazero-rejectionemploymentservice,undertakingvocationalprofilingwithparticipantsinlinewithguidelinesanddevelopingarobustplanofactionforthedurationoftheirtimeonproject.
ToworkcloselywithexternalserviceproviderssuchasAneurinBevanHealthBoard,placesofrefuge,drugandalcoholsupportservices,mentalhealthpractitioners,specialistlearningfacilitiesandotherrelevantbodiesasandwhenrequired. ToworkcloselywiththeEmployerLiaisonOfficertoensuretheyenableparticipantstoachievesustainedemploymentalongsideyourguidanceandexpertise.
Toprovideinformation,adviceandguidanceregardingthesupportavailablefromtheprogrammetokeystakeholdersandparticipants. Toundertakeworkwithotherteammembersinsupportingparticipantstopreparefortrainingandemployment,createsmoothtransitionsforparticipantstootherservicesintheworkandskillsdepartmentwhenneeded.
Toidentifyalternativeemploymentoptions,guidedbytheparticipantsvocationalprofiletoensureappropriatevacanciesaresourcedinlinewithrequirements. Toverifyjoboutcomesthroughevidenceoremployercontactandtoberesponsibleforensuringallparticipantsoutcomesarerecordedaccuratelyandbeyondthissupporttheparticipant&employerwithupto6monthsofsupportwhilstinworktoensureemploymentissustained.
Tomaintainparticipantsfilesanddatavia(paper&database)to100%accuracyatthefirst,andeverysubsequentinstanceofcompletion. Tofollowprescribedfilinganddataaccuracyrequirementstoensuretheconfidentialityofparticipantinformationandarobustaudittrailforinternalandexternalreview.
