English Teacher - Alternative Provision Southampton | September Start | Full-Time | Paid to Scale Are you an English Teacher with QTS looking for a role where your teaching can have a real impact? We are working with a welcoming Alternative Provision in Southampton that is seeking a dedicated English Teacher to join their team from September.
The role offers the opportunity to work with students aged 11+ who may have struggled in mainstream education and benefit from a more individualised approach. You'll be delivering English across a range of abilities, helping students improve their literacy while also building confidence, motivation and engagement with learning.
The school offers small groups, high staff ratios and a personalised curriculum designed around each student's needs and future aspirations. We're looking for someone who: Holds QTS and has a relevant English teaching background Has strong subject knowledge and can deliver engaging lessons Is confident managing challenging behaviour Can adapt their teaching to individual students Builds positive and trusting relationships with young people Is patient, resilient and passionate about supporting students to succeed This is a full-time position starting in September, with the potential to become permanent for the right person.
