Enterprise Architecture Manager - Industry Technology Strategy & Architecture

Overview

In this role you lead enterprise architecture engagements to shape strategic roadmaps and governance across business, data, and technology. You’ll drive AI-enabled modernization, manage multi-vendor ecosystems, and build compelling value cases for client planning. You work closely with senior stakeholders to translate business priorities into executable architectures and reusable assets. Responsibilities

• Lead architecture workstreams and delivery within enterprise architecture engagements, including scoping, planning, risk management, and client expectations
• Assess how business strategy and industry trends drive change across applications, data, infrastructure, and operations
• Define enterprise architecture vision, target-state, and multi-year roadmaps aligned to business objectives
• Drive AI-era modernization through application rationalisation and consolidation to reduce complexity
• Build value cases and investment justifications aligned to client planning cycles
• Guide key architectural decisions across business, technology and third-party stakeholders in multi-vendor contexts
• Mature enterprise architecture governance, frameworks, and IT governance practices
• Define data and AI platform, integration and automation strategies with reusable assets and blueprints
• Maintain strong client relationships with senior stakeholders (Head of EA, CTO, CIO)
• Support sales/origination by identifying opportunities and shaping proposals
• Lead medium-to-large teams, set objectives, delegate work, and foster a positive team environment
• Ensure quality and rigor of architecture outputs and executive-ready deliverables
• Contribute to practice growth through capability-building, knowledge sharing, and thought leadership

Key requirements

• Experience leading enterprise architecture engagements or programmes
• Strong command of enterprise architecture strategy, modelling, planning, governance, and frameworks
• Proven ability to assess and architect enterprise-level solutions and IT portfolios end to end
• Deep capability in application, solution, and technology architecture design and roadmapping
• Track record in establishing architecture governance
• Fluency with IT governance and IT service management principles
• Collaboration and building trusted cross-team relationships
• Clear, audience-appropriate communication and risk surfacing
• Strategic thinking with ability to simplify complex information
• TOGAF or equivalent framework
• IT governance and IT service management principles
• EA tooling and modelling standards (ArchiMate, LeanIX, Ardoq)
