HSEQ & Compliance Manager Location: UK (Hybrid with UK site travel) Salary: £60,000 + benefits Employment Type: Permanent Role Summary We are seeking an experienced HSEQ & Compliance Manager to lead Health, Safety, Environmental, Quality, and compliance activities across high-voltage energy infrastructure projects.
This role will oversee integrated management systems, drive a strong safety culture, and ensure compliance across HV substations, grid connections, and related engineering projects throughout the UK. Key Responsibilities Maintain and continuously improve the Integrated Management System (IMS) aligned to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.
Ensure HSEQ compliance across active HV construction and energy infrastructure sites. Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action plans. Review and approve Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) for high-risk activities.
Manage PQQ submissions and industry accreditations including CHAS, SafeContractor, and Achilles UVDB. Conduct site audits, inspections, and safety briefings. Liaise with clients, regulators, DNOs, IDNOs, and project teams to maintain compliance with CDM 2015 and industry safety requirements.
Required Qualifications Proven HSEQ/SHEQ management experience within High Voltage, Electrical Utilities, Power Distribution, Energy, or Civil Engineering. NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate (Diploma preferred). Strong knowledge of CDM 2015 regulations and UK Health & Safety legislation.
Internal Lead Auditor qualification for ISO 9001, ISO 14001, or ISO 45001. Full UK driving licence. GradIOSH, CMIOSH, or actively working towards professional membership. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting grid connection, substation, or renewable energy projects.
