Known for clear, pragmatic and commercially focused advice, they support projects from inception through to advocacy, covering everything from planning strategy to regulatory defence. The team's expertise spans environmental permitting, biodiversity and natural environment law, contaminated land, waste and water regulation, sustainability, climate change and the circular economy.

They work closely with colleagues in corporate, commercial and real estate, advising a wide range of clients including major developers, manufacturers, utilities, minerals operators, public sector bodies and regulators. The roleOur client are looking for an experienced Environmental Solicitor (6+ PQE) to join their growing team in their Bristol office.

You can expect to advise on high-value, complex matters including: Environmental permitting and complianceWaste regulation and end-of-waste issuesContaminated land, emissions and pollution incidentsWater resources and climate change lawCrisis and risk management, including enforcement defenceTransactional support on real estate and corporate dealsAbout youIdeally 6+ years PQE in environmental/regulatory law but those with less PQE are still encouraged to apply if you have demonstrated experience and technical expertise in environmental/regulatory mattersStrong track record in compliance, permitting, waste, pollution and contaminated land workExperience of regulatory investigations and enforcement defence desirableCommercial awareness with the ability to advise both public and private sector clientsProactive, enthusiastic and collaborative with excellent communication skillsWhy join?
