DescriptionOur client, a leading global asset management firm is looking to hire an Equity Research Analyst based in London to cover the Chinese equity market. This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-performing, well-established Global Emerging Markets investment team with a strong track record of fundamental, long-term investing.
The successful candidate will take primary responsibility for researching and analysing Chinese companies.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct in-depth fundamental research on Chinese companies to identify high conviction investment ideasConduct analysis of company reports and build detailed financial models to support investment recommendationsEvaluate company business models and economic conditions that impact companies and industriesConduct regular meetings with company management, as well as participate in conferences and company visitsWork closely with Portfolio Managers and other members of the GEM team providing meaningful input into portfolio discussionsPresent investment recommendations and research findings to team and contribute to a collaborative investment debateCandidate
requirements
Relevant buy-side equity research experience, ideally with experience covering Chinese marketsNative Mandarin speakerDeep knowledge and understanding of Chinese equity marketsStrong academic backgroundExcellent communication skills (both written and verbally)Collaborative team playerIntellectually curious and a self-starterHigh levels of integrity, judgement and professionalismMason Blake acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
