Equity Trader

Overview

In this role you identify, evaluate and execute trading ideas across equities and derivatives, while managing risk and developing decision-support tools. You’ll work closely with a cross-functional team to learn new products and strategies, adapt to changing market conditions, and drive ideas from analysis to execution. This position emphasizes judgment, curiosity, and disciplined trading within a high-expectation, collaborative culture.

Responsibilities

• Analyse market moves, positioning and catalysts to generate trading ideas
• Execute trades and manage positions within risk limits
• Monitor exposures, performance and evolving market conditions
• Develop tools and research to improve trading decisions
• Collaborate with the team to learn new products and strategies

Key requirements

• Trading role with <5 years of experience
• Backgrounds include single-stock volatility, delta one or dividend trading, index volatility, exotic derivatives, dispersion strategies, event-driven or special situations, index rebalancing
• Strong numerical and analytical skills
• Sound risk judgment and disciplined approach to trading
• Curiosity about markets and willingness to learn beyond current specialization
• Ability to make clear decisions under pressure
• Ownership of work and effective collaboration
• Coding or data-analysis skills would be useful
