Estate Services Officer - Field Based Contract Type: Temporary (12 weeks) Start Date: 7th September Location: Field-based role across housing estates in Welwyn and Hatfield Hourly Rate: £15.94 - £17.63 Duration: 12 weeks temporary Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm My client is actively seeking a dedicated Estate Services Officer to join their team on a temporary basis.

This role is crucial for maintaining the safety, cleanliness, and overall management of communal housing estates. The ideal candidates will be proactive, reliable, and have a strong understanding of health and safety in communal environments. Day-to-day of

the role

Conduct routine inspections of communal housing estates, blocks, and surrounding areas. Identify and report various issues such as health and safety hazards, fire risks, fly-tipping, anti-social behaviour, and repair needs.

Maintain accurate inspection records, including photographic evidence when necessary. Manage the removal and storage of TORT items following current policies. Perform daily inspections in areas with high levels of fly-tipping and housing management concerns, ensuring all issues are appropriately addressed and recorded.

Collaborate with Neighbourhood Officers, Housing Assistants, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure timely completion of follow-up actions. Undertake litter picking, sweeping, and general cleanliness maintenance around communal areas and bin stores.

Coordinate the clearance of larger waste deposits and fly-tipping with the appropriate service teams. Ensure the estates are well-maintained, presenting a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for residents. Respond to estate-related issues as directed by management. Required Skills &

Qualifications

Experience in estate services, grounds maintenance, cleaning, or caretaking duties. Strong knowledge of health and safety responsibilities within communal housing environments. Ability to identify and report various housing management and environmental issues.

Practical and willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Reliable and organised with the ability to work independently. Basic IT skills for completing inspection reports and recording actions. Special Conditions: Must possess a full UK driving licence.

The role requires regular travel between housing estates in Welwyn and Hatfield.
