Job Description European Transport Planner Required! Our client is an established UK and international haulage company, operating a busy transport operation across the UK and Europe. On behalf of our client, we are looking to recruit an experienced European Transport Planner to join their transport team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and coordinating European transport movements, while maintaining strong communication with customers, drivers and other transport partners. Package: Monday to Friday, 7:30am-5:30pm or 8:30am-5:30pmEvery other Saturday, 8am-12pm£34,000 - £38,000 DOE28 days holiday, including bank holidaysPension schemeOn-site parkingOpportunity to progress into transport managementAdditional company benefits discussed at interviewEuropean Transport Planner -
Responsibilities
Plan and coordinate European transport movements from booking through to deliveryOrganise daily transport schedules, ensuring vehicles and drivers are utilised efficientlyLiaise with customers, drivers, hauliers and European transport partnersMonitor planned movements and provide updates on any delays or changesEnsure transport documentation and operational requirements are completed accuratelyResolve transport issues quickly and effectively to maintain service levelsMaintain accurate records and update internal transport systemsSupport the wider transport team with the day-to-day running of the operationEuropean Transport Planner -
Requirements
Previous experience within a transport planning or transport operations roleExperience or understanding of European transport operationsStrong geographical knowledge of the UK and European road networksExcellent communication, customer service and organisational skillsStrong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office packagesAbility to manage multiple transport movements and changing prioritiesProactive approach with strong attention to detailFull clean UK driving licenceStreamline Search is a technical recruitment agency based in Chichester, West Sussex operating across the United Kingdom.
