Factory Controller

Overview

In this role you will lead financial processes at the Coleshill factory to optimise financial performance. You will partner with the Factory Manager to shape finance strategy and translate it into actionable plans and targets. You will ensure robust controls, oversee forecasting and business planning, and drive data-driven decision making. You will lead a small team and collaborate with senior leadership to deliver insightful financial information. This is a high-impact finance role within ABB’s manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement the site finance strategy in alignment with global direction
• Partner with the Factory Manager to set area-specific strategy and operating model
• Translate finance strategy into business plans, targets, and forecasting processes
• Establish and test robust business controls in line with group policies
• Lead and develop a small finance team and support cross-functional decision making
• Deliver best-in-class financial reporting to factory leadership and senior management

Key requirements

• 3+ years of financial leadership experience in manufacturing/operations
• Strong financial analysis skills with ability to convert data into metrics
• Excellent communication skills
• Enhanced knowledge of SAP; experience with ERP system changes/implementations
• Recognised financial qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or extensive equivalent experience
