Finance Data Platform Consultant

Overview

As a Finance Data Platform Consultant, you will help build and operate a governed finance data platform that integrates with ERP systems and serves reporting, analytics, and AI use cases. You’ll work hands-on from day one, modelling data and developing pipelines to ensure the platform numbers align with the ledger. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver finance data products and transform CFO-focused processes through modern cloud data platforms and AI-enabled capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Model and build finance data platform components and pipelines
• Integrate ERP data (e.g., SAP, Oracle) with the platform across subledgers and general ledger
• Develop and test data ingestion, conformance, and data products; manage access, security, and governance
• Create and validate analytics, management reporting, and semantic definitions on platform data
• Implement AI/ML use cases on the platform and participate in design discussions
• Lead or participate in client workshops, delivering clear analyses and options
• Ensure reconciliation between platform outputs and the ledger and monitor data quality
• Document work and maintain traceability from transactions to reports

Key requirements

• Hands-on experience with a modern cloud data platform (Snowflake, Databricks, Palantir Foundry)
• Experience moving financial data out of ERP systems into reporting/analytics
• Ability to build management reporting and analytics on platform data
• Proficiency with SQL, APIs and modern data-integration technologies; some Python/ML exposure
• Understanding of chart-of-accounts, enterprise structure and finance master data
• Relevant cloud-data or AI certifications, or a professional finance/accounting qualification
