Finance Director

Overview

In this Finance Director role, you will lead the finance function within a high-growth, private equity-backed business. You will partner with the CEO, Board, and executives to drive strategic plans and value creation. You will shape budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, underpinning growth initiatives and profitability improvements. Responsibilities

• Provide strategic financial leadership and commercial support to the executive team
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management and financial planning
• Deliver timely management reporting and performance analysis
• Drive growth through robust financial modelling and commercial decision support
• Manage banking relationships, funding, and working capital
• Ensure strong financial controls, governance and compliance
• Lead annual audit and tax processes
• Develop KPI reporting and performance measurement frameworks
• Identify opportunities to improve profitability, efficiency and overall performance
• Support delivery of long-term growth and value creation objectives

Key requirements

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
• Experience as Finance Director, Head of Finance, Financial Controller or similar
• Strong commercial acumen with influence on strategic decisions
• Experience supporting growth, transformation or change programmes
• Excellent leadership and stakeholder management
• Experience presenting financial information to boards, investors and senior leadership
• Strong analytical, planning and problem-solving abilities
