About the jobWere looking for a hands-on Finance Manager to join our growing team. You will be responsible for managing day-to-day finance operations, monthly and annual reporting routines, and supporting project reporting and audit processes.
Your responsibilities will include
Manage day-to-day finance operations including processing invoices, bill payments, customer and supplier queriesManage month-end finance routines including performing bookkeeping duties, preparing VAT returns, cashflow forecasting and producing management accountsWork with external accountants to prepare year-end accounts, including preparation of R&D tax credit applicationsSupport Project finance activities and routinesSupport CFO with special projectsRequirements:3+ years experience in a finance roleAAT Level 4 or equivalent relevant qualificationExperience with QuickBooks (preferred) or similar accounting softwareAdvanced Microsoft Excel skillsExperience preparing cashflow forecasts, budgets and financial reportsStrong attention to detailDesirable additional
skills
Experience supporting R&D tax credit claimsFinancial modelling capabilitiesExperience in a start-up environmentExperience with project accounting and grant-funded projectsExperience implementing and/or improving finance systems, controls and reporting processesLocation : Our office is based in Osney Mead, Oxford.
There may be opportunity to work from home as agreed with your line manager. There may be opportunity for periodic business travel.
