Finance Manager

Overview

In this role, you will lead the financial activities that enable operational efficiency across manufacturing and supply chain. You will partner with senior operations leaders to drive performance, informed decision-making, and growth. You’ll own management reporting, budgeting, costing, and inventory controls, while upholding strong financial controls and governance. This position offers visible impact through cross-functional collaboration and capital investment reviews. You will shape profitability and performance improvements within a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Partner with senior operational leaders across manufacturing and supply chain
• Lead monthly management accounts, reporting and variance analysis
• Drive the annual budgeting and forecasting process
• Provide meaningful financial insight to support decision making
• Own inventory reporting and controls
• Lead standard costing processes and support pricing and profitability analysis
• Support capital investment appraisals and post-investment reviews
• Ensure robust financial controls, balance sheet integrity and audit compliance
• Manage and develop a small finance team

Key requirements

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA preferred)
• Strong manufacturing finance background
• Experience with product costing and inventory
• Proven business partnering with operational stakeholders
• Comfortable challenging, influencing and driving performance improvements
• Strong Excel and ERP system experience
• Previous management experience would be advantageous
