Operating within a fast-paced, commercially driven environment, the business has a strong market presence, a diverse product portfolio and an impressive track record of growth through both organic expansion and acquisition.

Your new roleReporting into senior finance leadership, this is a broad and highly visible role focused on delivering robust financial reporting, managing the year-end audit process and ensuring a strong financial control environment.

You will take ownership of external audit activity, acting as the key liaison with auditors while driving audit timelines and ensuring the timely delivery of accurate supporting information. Alongside audit responsibility, you will oversee statutory reporting, provide technical accounting guidance on complex issues and ensure compliance with IFRS and UK GAAP.

You will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing financial controls, supporting process improvements and ensuring the business remains audit-ready throughout the year. The position requires close collaboration with stakeholders across finance and the wider business, making strong communication and relationship-building skills essential.

What you'll need to succeedYou will be an ACA-qualified accountant with a strong external audit background, ideally trained within a Big 4 or leading accountancy practice. Audit experience is fundamental to this role, providing the technical expertise required to oversee statutory reporting, manage external audits, ensure compliance with IFRS and UK GAAP, and maintain a robust control environment.

You will be a detail-oriented professional, capable of identifying risk, challenging accounting treatments, and delivering high-quality outputs within a fast-paced commercial environment, whilst upholding high standards across a small finance team and fostering a culture of accuracy, accountability and continuous improvement.
