Finance Manager

Robert Half Finance and Accounting are seeking an experienced Interim Finance Manager to join an established manufacturing business based in Gloucester for a minimum of 6 months, potentially up to 12 months. This is a hands-on role, for an experienced finance professional with previous industry experience, strong management accounting skills and a proven ability to lead and develop a finance team.

Start date: ASAP Duration: Minimum 6 months, with potential to 12 months Money: 50,000 - 60,000 (DOE)Location: Gloucester, office based Role: Finance Manager Key ResponsibilitiesLead, manage and develop the finance team, overseeing day-to-day activitiesOversee the preparation and production of monthly management accountsReview financial results, investigate variances against budget and forecast, and provide meaningful commentary on performanceSupport the month-end close processMonitor costs, margins and operational performance, with a particular focus on manufacturing-related financial metricsWork closely with operational and senior management teamsEnsure robust financial controls and processes are maintained across the businessIdentify opportunities to improve reporting processes, efficiencies and the overall effectiveness of the finance functionRequirements:Proven experience in a Finance Manager or similar senior management accounting rolePrevious experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment is essentialExperience of producing and reviewing monthly management accountsPrevious experience line managing, motivating and developing a finance team.A hands-on, proactive approach with the ability to hit the ground running Strong communication skillsFully qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience candidates will be considered, depending on relevant experienceRobert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
