Job Description Financial Accountant | Derbyshire | Study Support Provided A well-established manufacturing business based in Derbyshire is looking for a Financial Accountant to join its finance team. This is a great opportunity for someone currently studying towards ACA, ACCA or an equivalent qualification, with full study support provided as part of the package.

What you'll be doing Owning the UK VAT process end-to-end, including monthly reconciliations and quarterly HMRC submissions Managing intercompany reconciliations and resolving cross-border queries with overseas teams Leading monthly, quarterly and year-end close activities Reconciling key balance sheet accounts and posting journals Providing data and insight to support budgeting and forecasting Partnering with the Treasury function and contributing to wider business improvement projects What we're looking for Studying towards ACA, ACCA or an equivalent qualification, ideally nearing completion — study support provided Experience preparing full statutory accounts within a larger organisation Background in external audit review, or ownership of the audit process within an accounts team Exposure to FMCG or manufacturing environments would be an advantage A proactive mindset, with a track record of spotting process improvements and cost efficiencies without compromising accuracy What's on offer Full study support towards your professional qualification Permanent, full-time role with a stable, well-established manufacturing employer Broad exposure across financial accounting, from VAT and intercompany to statutory reporting The chance to work cross-functionally and contribute to wider business projects If this sounds like the right next step for your career, we'd love to hear from you.
