A fast-paced FMCG business in Bournemouth is looking for a Financial Controller to take ownership of their finance function and play a key role in their growth journey.

As Financial Controller, you’ll oversee the day-to-day running of the finance function while also playing a key role in shaping strategy. From detailed monthly management accounts to cashflow forecasting and board-level reporting, your work will be central to commercial decision-making. You’ll ensure robust controls are in place, keep reporting accurate and timely, and provide insights that keep the business on track to meet its ambitious goals.

Working in FMCG means no two days are the same. You’ll manage product costings, stock, and margin analysis to ensure the numbers behind production and sales stay sharp. Alongside this, you’ll support the senior leadership team with budgeting and forecasting, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and profitability across the business.

We’re looking for a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with proven experience in a fast-paced SME, FMCG, or product-based environment. You’ll have a strong technical grounding in management accounts, P&L, and forecasting, coupled with the communication skills to influence stakeholders and explain financials in a clear, commercial way. Leadership experience and a hands-on approach will be key to your success.

In return, you’ll join a growing business where your input will genuinely shape the future. You’ll have the autonomy to build and lead finance, influence strategic direction, and work closely with a passionate leadership team who value collaboration and innovation.
