We’re recruiting for an exciting Bristol-based start-up that is entering its next stage of growth and looking for an experienced Financial Controller to take ownership of its day-to-day finance function. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working in an entrepreneurial environment where you can get involved across the numbers, improve processes and help shape how finance supports future growth.

The roleReporting into the senior leadership team, you will take ownership of the financial control and reporting of the business while providing valuable commercial insight. Key responsibilities will include:Ownership of the monthly management accounts and month-end closeManaging cash flow, forecasting and working capitalLeading budgeting and financial planning processesMaintaining strong balance sheet controls and reconciliationsManaging statutory reporting, tax and audit requirementsDeveloping financial controls, processes and reporting as the business growsProviding insightful analysis to support commercial decision-makingWorking closely with senior stakeholders across the businessImproving the use of financial systems and management informationSupporting wider strategic and commercial projectsHelping to build a scalable finance function capable of supporting future growthWhat you'll need to succeedACA, ACCA or CIMA qualifiedExperienced within a Financial Controller, Finance Manager or similar senior finance positionStrong across management accounting, financial reporting, controls and cash flowCommercially minded and comfortable working closely with senior leadershipConfident improving processes rather than simply maintaining themComfortable operating within a fast-paced, changing environmentNaturally hands-on and happy to get into the detail when neededExcited by the opportunity to help build and develop a finance functionWhat you'll get in returnFlexible working options availableBonusShares in the businessCompany car32 days holiday+bank holidaysPrivate medical and dental careWhat you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.
