Financial Controller

Job Description Financial Controller South Cambridge Salary £60,000 to £65,000 + Bonus An established manufacturing business based in South Cambridge is seeking a Financial Controller to lead its finance function and support the senior leadership team with high-quality financial insight and reporting.

This is a hands-on role offering broad responsibility across financial control, commercial analysis, process improvement, and team leadership. Key Responsibilities Preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reporting Leading budgeting and forecasting processes Delivering insightful management information and financial analysis Costing and variance analysis to support operational decision-making Ownership of month-end and year-end processes Supporting external audits and statutory reporting requirements Developing financial controls, systems, and processes Partnering with operational teams to improve business performance Managing and developing a small finance team About You Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) preferred Strong management accounting, reporting, and analytical skills Experience within manufacturing, engineering, or a similar environment would be advantageous Comfortable working in a hands-on SME environment Strong systems and ERP knowledge with a continuous improvement mindset Leadership and team management experience What's on Offer Salary up to £65,000, total potential package up to £70,000 Performance-related bonus Stable and growing business environment Broad, commercially focused role with exposure to senior leadership Opportunity to make a significant impact within the business For a confidential discussion or to find out more, please get in touch.
