We are currently seeking an experienced Financial Operations Manager. The Financial Operations Manager is a key leadership role within HSBC's Chief Technology Office (CTO) Chief Operating Office (COO) team, with end-to-end accountability for financial management and commercial insight across the Enterprise Infrastructure area.

The role reports to the Head of Financial Management for CTO and oversees an annual cost base of more than $1 billion USD across approximately 18 countries and provides strategic financial advice to senior technology and finance leaders.

you will

Lead all financial management activities for Enterprise Infrastructure – across both expenses and internal customer charges: Advise managing directors / directors on financial decisions, risks and trade-offsDrive delivery of cost targets and optimisation commitmentsEstablish and oversee financial governance, controls and accountability, including management of the Fixed Asset Register, WIP and amortisation of assetsInfluence cost ownership across countries and business areasCollaborate and engage with a range of stakeholders – Managing Director and Executive Committee, COO, CTO CFO, Local Financial Controllers / Operations, Cost Management and Procurement amongst othersTo be successful in this role you should meet the following

requirements

Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)Finance business partnering (or similar) experience in a complex, matrixed, multi-currency organisationUnderstanding of accounting policies, audit requirements and governanceExperience managing financials across multiple countries – including robust accrual, allocation and chargeback processesComfortable working independently and proactively to solve problemsOpening up a world of opportunity.
