Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for a Financial Planning and Reporting Manager to join East Riding of Yorkshire Council on an initial 3-month temporary contract. This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities * Recruit, develop, lead and motivate a team to support a culture of high-quality performance and continuous improvement to achieve excellent outcomes that meet the needs of the organisation within a fixed level of resources.
Resolve performance issues in order to support a culture of performance and productivity. * Manage, plan, organise and ensure the efficient and effective delivery of professional services, translating wider Directorate objectives into a clear service plan. * Design, develop and deliver training or learning programmes as required and promote a working culture that is based on best practice in delivering services. * Produce recommendations for service planning, budgets, and workforce planning, using expertise to proactively identify relevant customer, professional or legislative trends that may impact on delivery.
Essential Requirements * Recognised chartered accountancy qualification together with extensive experience at a senior level in a public sector financial environment * Extensive knowledge of financial management at a strategic level. * Experience of leading large and complex projects and programmes that are impactful to the organisation * Knowledge of the effective use of ICT in delivering financial services Please apply with an up to date CV ASAP if this role would be of interest to you
