Job Title : First Article InspectorReporting To: Technical Operations, Quality ControlWork Schedule: Onsite Wolverhampton, GBRMoog Aircraft Group Wolverhampton is seeking an experienced First Article Inspector to take ownership of AS9102-compliant FAI activity across new product introduction, product changes, and supplied components.

Key Responsibilities Perform complete First Article Inspections in accordance with AS9102 and customer-specific requirementsVerify all dimensions, tolerances and features against engineering drawings and specificationsInterpret complex drawings including full GD&T requirementsProduce accurate, detailed FAIR documentation and validation packages for internal and customer approvalRecord inspection data within digital quality systemsIdentify and formally report non-conformances in line with AS9102 requirementsSupport root cause analysis and corrective actionsLiaise closely with Engineering, Production and Quality teams to resolve technical queries and improve manufacturabilitySupport receiving, in-process and final inspection activities as requiredTechnical Requirements Extensive experience within aerospace dimensional inspectionStrong AS9102 First Article Inspection experience (essential)Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings and GD&TExperienced in using precision measuring equipment including: VerniersMicrometers (inside, outside, depth)Bore gaugesHeight gaugesDepth micrometersManual and/or CNC CMMExperience within AS9100 quality environmentsSAP and/or Solumina experience advantageousSkills & Experience Able to manage workload independently with minimal supervisionHigh attention to detail with the ability to balance accuracy and production demandsStrong communication skills across cross-functional teamsHNC/HND (or equivalent) in Engineering, or extensive aerospace quality experienceMust be eligible to obtain UK Security ClearanceFlexible to work shift patterns as requiredThis role reports to the Quality Team Leader.
