Forward Deployed Engineer AI - Asset Management

Overview In this role you will deliver AI-powered solutions for an asset manager, collaborating with investment research, operations and client reporting to translate business challenges into practical, integrated apps and workflows.

You'll build and deploy AI-enabled tools on the platform, ensuring governance, data access, security and reliability while refining models with real business inputs. You'll monitor adoption, drive continuous improvements and help colleagues use the solutions independently.

This position blends hands-on engineering with cross-functional collaboration to shape scalable AI-enabled capabilities. Pay / Benefits Salary up to 120k Pension Private medical insurance including 24 hour GP access Enhanced parental leave policy 25 days annual leave Ongoing training and development and financial support for courses Responsibilities Identify business challenges and translate them into AI-driven solutions Build applications, agents and automated workflows on the AI Platform with data connections and integrations Ensure engineering governance, data access, security, testing, reliability, cost, and maintainability Evaluate outputs against real business scenarios, refine models, prompts and data Monitor adoption and business outcomes, iterate improvements Collaborate with platform and development teams to clarify delivery, share reusable approaches, and contribute to the platform roadmap Key requirements Asset Management knowledge and experience, especially in investment research, operations or client reporting Strong software engineering foundations; experience building user-facing applications, APIs and system integrations Hands-on AI-assisted development and connecting models to data and systems; understanding of limitations Advanced problem solving and product judgement to distinguish business needs from requested features Ability to make decisions in ambiguity, seek specialist input, experiment and follow through Collaborative and pragmatic with excellent communication skills Degree in a STEM discipline with a 2.1 or above from a top-tier university collaborative pragmatic excellent communication Python AWS AI Platform
