Forward Deployed Engineer

Role: Forward Deployed Engineer Location: London Salary: £100,000 – £120,000 + Bonus + Equity Global Digital Engineering Company | Client-Facing AI Development | Build & Deploy Production AI Solutions We're partnered with a global digital engineering and technology services company that is continuing to expand its AI capabilities and is looking for an exceptional Forward Deployed Engineer to join its growing team in London.

This is an exciting opportunity for an engineer who enjoys working at the intersection of Software Engineering, Applied AI and Client Delivery . Rather than simply building products behind the scenes, you'll work directly with clients to understand their business challenges, identify opportunities for AI and develop practical solutions that deliver measurable results.

You'll be working closely with customers, business stakeholders and technical teams , taking complex business problems and translating them into working AI-powered applications. This requires someone who is not only technically strong but also confident communicating with non-technical stakeholders, understanding their requirements and explaining technical decisions in a way that makes sense to the business.

A key part of the role will involve building and deploying AI solutions directly into client environments . You'll work across the full development lifecycle, from discovery and technical design through to implementation, integration and production deployment.

Technologies will include Python, Hugging Face, LangChain, Pinecone, LLMs, RAG and modern Full-Stack development tools . The business is particularly interested in engineers who have experience working directly with customers and stakeholders.

You should be comfortable discussing technical approaches, explaining the trade-offs between different solutions, managing expectations and helping non-technical decision-makers understand what is achievable. This is a role for someone who can confidently switch between writing code and having meaningful conversations with clients.

Founder or Start-up experience would be highly desirable. They're particularly interested in people who have built products from scratch, worked in fast-moving environments and taken ownership of turning an idea into a real, working solution.
