French Speaking Junior Financial Controller

Overview

In this role you will support the financial reporting and control across several overseas operations from our London-based finance team. You will act as a bridge to local finance teams, analysing GL data, reconciling accounts, and preparing management information for senior stakeholders. The role offers international exposure and the chance to strengthen governance and financial controls in a growing, impact-focused business. You will travel internationally to understand on-the-ground activities and help drive financial transparency and informed decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyse General Ledger transactions across multiple African entities for accuracy and compliance
• Serve as a key contact for local finance teams on accounting, reporting, and control matters
• Prepare and review reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and resolve issues promptly
• Support production of monthly financial information and management reports for senior stakeholders
• Monitor financial performance, identify risks and variances, and suggest improvements
• Assist with implementation and maintenance of robust financial controls, processes, and governance
• Collaborate with operational teams and senior management to enhance financial transparency
• Support external audits and ensure compliance with group reporting requirements
• Undertake international travel to visit overseas operations and build relationships with local teams

Key requirements

• Part-qualified or studying towards ACCA, ACA, or CIMA
• Experience in finance, accounting, reporting, or management accounting
• Strong technical grasp of accounting principles and financial controls
• High analytical ability with meticulous attention to detail
• Comfortable handling large volumes of financial data
• Confident communicator with ability to engage both finance and non-finance stakeholders
• Proactive, organized, and eager to develop within a growing international business
